Being from an industry that is never stable as far as long term continuity is concerned it can share that if you put that aside and choose to take on the adventure of travel nursing jobs it will not be disappointing. The phenomena of the travel nurse is something that once you understand you will see that of course it is as important to our healthcare system as any other aspect.
When I was a child I was sick and a travel nurse from the west coast ( me being from the east) came into the room, I noticed her accent as not being from round here by any means. She was introduced to new procedures there that were just making there way to the east coast. This travel nurse, Lucy F. , truly changed my life. Without her insight I may not be speaking today to say the least.
I felt i needed to share this story because I have been getting a lot of emails asking why I developed this board and such. Truth is I have a personal appreciation for our nurses and travel nurses even more. So if you know a nurse give them a hug, know a travel nurse… tell them about us and buy them dinner.. after you hug them as well!
